Shawn has dedicated the past decade to the financial industry, specializing in financial planning and investment management for business owners, entrepreneurs, executives, athletes, entertainers, and endowments and foundations. His background as a professional athlete instilled in him a strong drive for excellence and a natural ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting. Before transitioning into finance, he spent six years playing professional baseball with the Detroit Tigers and New York Mets organizations. His passion lies in helping clients develop personalized plans that align with their unique goals and needs.

Shawn holds a master’s degree and recently earned the SE-AWMA (Sports & Entertainment Accredited Wealth Management Advisor) designation. He is also actively involved in his community, serving as a Board Member for both Hannah’s Home of South Florida and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Philanthropy was instilled in Shawn at a young age as his father founded the Tim Teufel Celebrity Golf Tournament in 1989 to benefit the Leukemia Society in Fairfield County. In 2024, the tournament celebrated its 35th year of supporting local charities, most recently the Fairfield County Sports Hall of Fame and Youth Foundation, which helps fund youth sports programs.

Outside of his professional and community commitments, Shawn enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Julie, and their three daughters. He enjoys coaching the girls’ sports teams and playing golf and tennis when time permits. Shawn and Julie are also active participants in local charity events in Palm Beach County.
